Rules

Eligibility

• Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec and any other jurisdiction where the contest is prohibited) who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
• Employees, officers, directors, contractors, competition judges, and representatives of the Operator or participating prize sponsors, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible to enter or win.
• One entry per person per competition.
• Selfie requirement. The submitted image must be an original self-portrait of the entrant. It may be captured handheld, using a mirror, timer, remote shutter, or a similar self-directed method. A professionally photographed portrait primarily taken by another person is not eligible as a selfie for this competition.
• You must have permission from every identifiable adult shown. No person under 18 may appear in the photograph.
• No hateful, harassing, explicit, stolen, misleading, or unsafe content.
• Image editing and AI. Ordinary photo editing is permitted, including cropping, exposure adjustments, colour correction, filters and minor retouching. Entries may not be fully AI-generated images; images of a synthetic or fictitious person; face-swapped images; images that substantially replace or reconstruct the entrant’s identity using generative AI; or images materially generated by AI and presented as an authentic photograph of the entrant. The Operator may reject an entry where authenticity cannot reasonably be verified.
• Moderation review is required before an entry appears publicly.
• Promoting an entry. Entrants may share their approved entry and ask friends, family, followers or other people to vote. Purchased votes, automated or bot voting, multiple-account voting, vote exchanges (including “vote for me and I’ll vote for you”), organized vote rings, circumvention of one-vote-per-account or other voting limits, and other fraudulent or manipulated voting activity are prohibited. Entrants may not vote for their own entry.

Prize

• The Founding Crown Beauty Collection. One Founding Crown winner receives a lasting SelfieQueen winner profile, a featured interview, a digital Founding Crown badge, promotional placement across SelfieQueen’s official channels, and The Founding Crown Beauty Collection — a curated collection of premium beauty, skincare and fragrance gifts provided by SelfieQueen. Collection contents are selected at the Operator’s discretion based on availability. Naming a specific beauty brand on SelfieQueen does not imply that brand’s sponsorship or endorsement unless SelfieQueen separately announces an official partner. Winner profiles are intended to remain available for the life of the SelfieQueen platform, subject to applicable law, valid privacy requests, safety concerns, and the continued operation of the service. No cash prize or cash alternative is offered unless required by applicable law.
• The full prize for each competition — including The Founding Crown Beauty Collection — is described with that competition’s details on its contest page. The winner profile, interview, badge, and promotional placements are promotional recognition with no separately assigned value. SelfieQueen may substitute an item or the collection with a prize of equal or greater value if a selected item is unavailable. No monetary prize amount is displayed; no cash prize or cash alternative is offered unless required by applicable law.
• Number of prizes: one overall winner for this competition.
• No purchase necessary. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible approved entries and the published scoring method.

Timeline

All competition times are shown in Pacific Time (PT).

• Entries open: June 30, 2026 · 5:00 p.m. PT.
• Entries close: August 31, 2026 · 11:59 p.m. PT.
• Voting opens: September 1, 2026 · 12:00 a.m. PT.
• Voting closes: September 7, 2026 · 11:59 p.m. PT.
• Only eligible votes cast during the published voting period will count toward the public-voting score.
• Potential winner notified: after voting closes and judging concludes.
• Potential winner response window: 7 calendar days from the Operator’s first notification.
• Confirmed winner announced: within three business days after successful verification.
• Prize delivery: winner feature and badge published with the confirmed-winner announcement; interview scheduling follows within a reasonable time after confirmation; the prize collection shipped to a Canadian address after successful verification (allow additional time for sourcing and delivery).

How the winner is chosen

• Final score = public-voting points (max 60) + judging points (max 40).
• Public voting (60 points). Among approved entries, the entry with the highest number of valid votes receives 60 public-voting points. Every other approved entry receives a proportional score: (that entry’s valid votes ÷ highest valid vote total) × 60. If the highest valid vote total is zero, all entries receive 0 public-voting points.
• Judging (40 points). A SelfieQueen judging panel awards up to 40 points using this rubric:
  • Creativity (10 pts) — Originality and creative expression in selfie and story.
  • Theme alignment (10 pts) — Fit with the Founding Crown theme and brief.
  • Composition & Presentation (10 pts) — Composition, clarity, lighting, framing and overall visual execution. The entrant’s physical attractiveness, body type or physical characteristics are not judging criteria.
  • Story (10 pts) — Clarity, voice, and emotional or narrative quality of the caption.
• Judges must disclose conflicts of interest and abstain from scoring any entry where a conflict exists.
• One vote per signed-in user per competition. Votes cannot be changed once cast.
• Entrants may not vote for their own entry.
• SelfieQueen may remove fraudulent, automated, or anomalous votes and may void related scoring.
• Ties are broken in this fixed order: (1) highest total judging score; (2) highest Story score; (3) highest Theme alignment score; (4) highest Creativity score; (5) highest Composition & Presentation score. If still tied, an additional independent judge scores the tied entries using the same rubric, and that score decides the winner.
• Follower count on social media is not a judging criterion and does not affect eligibility.
• Selection is based on creativity, story, and theme alignment under the published scoring method — not a game of chance.

Winner confirmation

• The potential winner is notified by email at the account address used to enter after voting closes and judging concludes.
• The potential winner must respond within 7 calendar days of the Operator’s first notification and provide proof of age (18+) and Canadian residency (excluding Quebec) satisfactory to the Operator.
• After successful verification, the confirmed winner is announced within three business days after successful verification.
• If the potential winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, or fails to provide required proof, the Operator may select an alternate potential winner using the same published scoring method (next highest final score among remaining eligible approved entries) and the same notification and verification process.

Operator rights

• The Operator may cancel, suspend, modify, or extend the competition if technical failure, fraud, force majeure, or insufficient eligible entries make fair administration impractical.
• The Operator may refuse, hide, or remove entries that violate these Rules, the Terms, or applicable law.
• Sponsor independence. Sponsors and prize partners do not influence moderation decisions, public-vote validation, judging scores or winner selection unless a future competition expressly states otherwise in its published rules.

Editing and withdrawal

• Submitted entries cannot be edited in-product after submission. Contact support if a correction is required before approval.
• To withdraw an entry, email support@selfiequeen.com from the account email before a winner is confirmed. Withdrawal and licence effects are described in the Terms.
